Senior Management Team

Bank of St Helena’s Senior Managers head the main functions of the Bank including IT, Finance, Operations and Lending. The Bank’s Risk and Compliance function resides under the Managing Director and Human Resources, Customer Services and Marketing departments reside under the Assistant Managing Director. 

Josephine George

Managing Director

Josephine started her career with Bank of St Helena in September 2008 as the Human Resources Manager. During her time at the Bank she has developed her professional skills and experience which has culminated in to her filling the position of Managing Director since 2017. 

Josephine has qualifications with the Chartered Banker Institute and has gained the globally recognised Chartered Banker designation (MCBI). She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Leeanne Henry

Assistant Managing Director

Leeanne joined Bank of St Helena in February 2018 as the Assistant Managing Director after spending two years as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors. Leeanne has extensive experience in leadership, business development and management, HR matters and accounting.

Leeanne has qualifications with the Chartered Banker Institute and has gained the globally recognised Chartered Banker designation (MCBI). Additionally, she is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

Kim Francis

IT Manager

Kim has been with Bank of St Helena since September 2012 when she took up the role of IT Manager. To date, Kim has over 17 years’ experience within the IT industry. 

Jody Grant-Lawrence

Finance Manager

Jody joined Bank of St Helena in July 2018 and has over 10 years of experience in finance. Jody’s role includes managing the Bank’s international remittances services, monitoring of the Bank’s investment portfolio and producing monthly management accounts and the Bank’s annual financial statements.

Jody is currently working towards the Associate Chartered Banking Diploma with the Chartered Banker Institute. 

Diana Benjamin

Operations Manager

Diana is one of the longest standing employees of Bank of St Helena joining the team in April 2004 when the Bank was established, transitioning from the Government Savings Bank. During her time with the Bank, Diana has progressed from Teller to Accounts Clerk before her promotion to Chief Operations Officer, a Senior Management role in 2015. Since then, Diana’s role has transitioned to Operations Manager, responsible for both the Operations Section and Teller Sections on St Helena and Ascension Island. 

Isabel Winfield

Lending Services Manager

Isabel joined Bank of St Helena in May 2012 as the Assistant Commercial Lending Manager and was promoted to Senior Management Level in 2014 in which time she has transitioned to Lending Services Manager. With a background in finance and accounting, Isabel is a qualified Accounting Technician and returned to St Helena after working in the UK for number of years processing management accounts for a large transport company.

Isabel’s qualifications include a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Level 3 Diploma in Banking and Certificate in Commercial Lending with the Chartered Banker Institute.
